World Chinese Media Forum Will See 400 Global Chief Editors Gathering in Chongqing, China From 17 September. More than 400 chief editors from 50 countries will be gathering in Chongqing, China from 17-19 September to participate the Sixth World Chinese Media Forum.
Development of Global Chinese Media
More than 200 media owners, experts and local government officials will also attend the forum, then there will be 600 representatives gather together to discuss on development of global Chinese media.
The Biennial World Chinese Media is a global summit and draws attention of the industry. The director of Phoenix TV Chairman Lau Changle, Malaysia, Media Chinese International Limited Executive Chairman Tiong Hiew King and Group Editor Hsiao-chiu, Indonesia International Daily Press Group Chairman Xiongdelong, Chairman of Taiwan's Central News Agency Chen Guoxiang, China Times Editor Wang Meiyu, the US. Southern Chinese News Newspaper TV Media Group CEO Li Wei Hua, Canada Ming Pao Daily News North America Chief Executive Officer Lvjia Ming, France European Times chairman Zhang Bei, U.S. West Qiao Bao president Xie Yining and other are some of the invited participants.
Focal Theme
The forum themed 'International Discourse in the Overseas Chinese Media' , and the directors, chairman, chief editors from global Chinese language media will discuss and exchange their views on issues regarding to how will the Chinese media voice in the Western mainstream society, Chinese media and Chinese cultural heritage and other topics.
Main Objectives
Participants will be more than previous five forum. The executive secretary of the forum organizing committee, deputy editor in chief of Chinese News Xia Chun-Ping said, 'friendship, exchange, discussion and development' are the main objectives of the forum for the past decade, and this year's forum will see more participants and they are from more areas, the discussion will be more in depth.
The forum will continue last forum's agenda, however it will hold an Award Night to give out awards to the media practitioner that propagating Chinese civilization, providing services the overseas Chinese and those who work diligently.
